Citizen Kane
I've never seen orson welles' films on big screen. The festival is showing five of his films so I'd like to see them all. The film started with the opening credit 'A Mercury Production" read out in Russian. I thought, oh no... Turned out that there's an overwhelming Russian voice on top of the original English dialogue. The translation was always uttered in an emotional fashion that went with the lines. The male voice would assume all the male characters (including Kane as a boy) and a female voice would come in when there's a female character. Many are used to watching films that way. Films are dictated to them.
